Designing Waveguide Elements of a Hearing Aid Using the Physical Modeling Techniques

Document Thumbnail

A method of transfer function modeling of acoustic parts of hearing aids was studied. For this purpose physical modeling techniques were used allowing the change of parameters of a model and observe results in real time. The main features of the engineered system allow one to design waveguide elements of hearing aids. Such a system may be helpful in the process of fitting some hearing aid elements to patients' needs. The assumptions of the proposed hearing aid fitting system and some details of its algorithmic implementation are discussed in the paper.
