Compensation of Room Acoustic Transfer Functions Affected by the Change of Room Temperature

Document Thumbnail

This paper reviews 1) variations of room acoustic transfer functions due to the change of room temperature and 2) the compensation method using a time axis scaling method. It is shown that a slight change of room temperature is a dominant factor for the variations of room impulse response. It is also shown that the compensation method applied to an inverse filtering-based dereverberation approach improves the intelligibility and speech recognition rates dramatically.
