DVD-Audio Specifications
DVD-Audio Specification Version 1.0 is scheduled for publication in early 1999 spring. DVD-Audio is a product that has been the topic of discussion between the WG-4 of DVD-Forum, mainly representing hardware manufacturers; and the International Steering Committee (ISC), representing the three recording industry associations-IFPI, RIAA, and RIAJ. DVD-Audio not only provides features related to the high-quality pure audio and multichannel music but also offers various multimedia and value-added capabilities. The paper describes the major features of DVD-Audio which will surely make it a successful new audio format.
