Comparison of Different Methods for the Interpolation of Head-Related Transfer Functions
In this study different algorithms for the interpolation of head-related transfer function (HRTF) were compared. Interpolation in the frequency domain with spherical splines provides much better results than interpolation in the time domain. The quality of the interpolation can be improved if the transfer function is smoothed in the frequency domain.
