A Variable-Bit-Rate Buried-Data Channel for Compact Disc

Document Thumbnail

Recently an elegant method was published to add buried data to a CD signal in a compatible way. This method is based on subtractively dithered noise-shaped quantization and provides a fixed-rate buried-data channel. An adaptive extension to this method, resulting in a variable rate of higher average value, is described.
