This paper discusses the properties of the inverse radiation problem consisting in the evaluation of the normal velocity distribution on the surface of a given source or the strength of point sources placed at given points on the base of a complex pressure distribution in the field. Numerical experiments and theoretical investigations have helped to recognize the rules of observation point choice as well as the accuracy of the procedure.
