Listening tests using artificial head records from a multipurpose hall were carried out. Then, objective measurements of the hall's impulse response were made at the same listener locations. Thus, perception thresholds for differences in objective sound-field measures could be determined. Thresholds for perceiving small differences correspond to -C50 = ±-2.5 dB and -C80 = ±-3.0 dB; with C50:speech definition, C80:clarity of music.
