HDTV Drama Multi-Channel Sound Production with 3-2, 3-1, 2 CH

HDTV programs have been experimentally broadcasted 10 hours a day since 1995 April in Japan. The high-quality audio as well as the picture are attracting viewers. Good drama programs, if they are produced for HDTV, have sufficient value to be converted to theatrical or NTSC and PAL formats. This paper describes an outline of the company's latest HDTV drama, -Last Bullet,- produced with 3-2/3-1/2-channel multichannel sound mixing through full-digital postproduction.
