The principle and characteristics of a multichannel sound system for communication with a large-screen display are described. This system provides excellent sound localization by accurately reproducing sound corresponding to visual images from the opposite site. In addition, improved loudspeaker recognition, speech intelligibility, and virtual reality are attained with this system.
