Trends in Loudspeaker Magnet Structure

This paper describes the improvements in permanent magnet unit over the years. The influence this progress has had on magnetic circuit configurations and loudspeaker performance are reviewed. Future possibilities in terms of new permanent magnet unit properties and their significance to the loudspeaker industry are considered.
