Finite-element methods are applied to calculate the sound-pressure distribution in a small enclosure. In the calculation, the acoustic admittance and the normal velocity of the boundaries appear as parameters. The effective values of these parameters are optimized by matching the calculation results with the results of a few pilot measurements through parametric inversion. Using the optimized values in the calculation model significantly improves its accuracy for all source and receiver positions.
