A Stereo Phonograph Cartridge Evaluation Recording

This paper describes a system for rapid evaluation of stereo phonograph cartridge performance. The characteristics of a disc recording for this purpose are described. A recording, with the required characteristics, has been prepared and tested in both the laboratory and in production test areas. Oscilloscopic display of important cartridge characteristics permit instantaneous, valid interpretation of the results.
