Vintage professional loudspeakers are often found in older facilities. For the most part, they are ignored and discarded instead of being revitalized and reused. Methods are discussed that will help the audio professional protect the owner's original investment, while assuring high performance quality in a new or revised system. Included are sections on transducer and enclosure revitalization as well as a method of approximating the coverage and performance characteristics of older high-frequency horns using modern computer-assisted sound-system design programs.
