IALF-Binaural Measures of Spatial Impression and Running Reverberance
Current measures for spatial impression (C80, LF, and G) do not match known psychoacoustic data and have poor predictive value in halls. New acoustic measures for spatial impression and reverberance based on interaural level and phase fluctuations (IALF) will be discussed which more accurately match psychoacoustic data. The new measurements can be made with inexpensive equipment during live speech or music.
