A Fifth-Order Delta-Sigma Modulator with 110 dB Audio-Band Dynamic Range
This paper describes an analog front-end for oversampled analog-to-digital (A/D) converters. The device contains two fifth-order fully differential delta-sigma modulators and a voltage reference. Measured results indicate 110 dB audio-band dynamic range and 106 dB signal to distortion. An integrated stereo 18-bit A/D converter for high-end digital audio has been developed using this device.
