On the Use of the Hankel Transform for Sound Radiation

Document Thumbnail

The primary interest of this paper is the computer prediction of the directivity of a source of radiation, principally a loudspeaker or horn device. The first part of this paper will deal with the background of this topic, a review of work previously shown, and the later part will deal with new material based on the Hankel transform. The paper will show how this new approach is more efficient for a computer implementation of the radiation problem than any of the previous approaches.
