Further Developments in EASE and EARS-In Computer Acoustic Design and Auralization
The paper describes the new EASE 2.0 which is necessary for auralization with the new EARS (Electronically Auralized Room Simulation) package. The EASE 2.0 demonstration shows the new room-input routines including DXF-file format, as well as the new algorithm for calculating room impulse responses. Additionally, new HIDE functions that drastically improve graphic presentations will be explained. Finally, the new EARs will be demonstrated which allows the convolution of dry music signals with EASE impulse responses, including binaurally measured outer-car transfer functions. This convolution is done by means of the Ariel Board DSP56 and other software.
