Extension of ISO/MPEG-Audio Layer II to Multichannel Coding: The Future Standard for Broadcasting, Telecommunication, and Multimedia Applications
Workshops 2, 4, and 6 will provide information and discussions on the recent state of the art of multichannel sound transmission systems. The 3/2-standard for audio and television applications and a more general system based on mathematical functions for simulation of 3D-sound fields for acoustical reasearch -Orthophony- will be of special interest. Workshop 4 will give demonstrations of 3/2-Systems and Orthophony. Workshop 6, on Thursday, March 18, 1-6 pm, will feature a final discussion on multichannel sound transmission systems and their future development.
