A Versatile Parametric Filter Using an Imbedded All-Pass Subfilter to Independently Adjust Bandwidth, Center Freqeuncy, and Boost or Cut
Parametric filters use separate and noninteracting controls to change bandwidth, center frequency, and cut or boost levels of an acoustic signal. These filters are a generalization of graphic equalizer filters which can permit gain adjustment of a channelized filter bank composed of filters with fixed bandwidths and center frequencies. This paper describes and demonstrates the performance of a digital signal processing based realization of a parametric filter.
