Sound from classical music instruments and synthesizers has been investigated using the Bruel & Kjaer 2034 analyzer. The relations between magnitudes of the few first spectrum components and the regularity of Nyquist plots of auto-correlation have proved to be important parameters. The evolutionary spectra give the differences between attack and release time of sound.
