An 18-Bit, 8-Pin Stereo Digital-to-Analog Converter
This paper describes a low-cost, stereo digital-to-analog converter intended for consumer and portable digital audio applications. The 8-pin small outline integrated circuit (SOIC) includes interpolation filters, 1-bit delta-sigma digital audio converters, and switch-capacitor reconstruction filters, and achieves 96-dB dynamic range (A-weighted, 18-bit data, 5-V mode) from a single 2.7- to 5.5-V supply.
