The evolution of an experimental high quality low noise microphone based on parametric amplifier principles. A general discussion of parametric amplifiers and results of low signal frequencies and low pump frequencies. Further discussion of high frequency type microphones in which the low-mass capacitor diaphragm controls RF signals or reactive gains of semi-conductor diodes. Performance is noted and appears to be related to capacitor microphones in the usual DC polarized forms.
