The Subsystem vs. Supersystem Approach to Building Entertainment Audio Control Systems

Document Thumbnail

An examination of completed systems in Europe, Japan, and the USA, is a part of the presentation. The paper focuses on nonsignal design criteria, and how these factors can often determine the selected technical direction. To deliver a system that performs as required, the system designer needs to examine many issues that are nontechnical. These issues can significantly restrict the hardware solutions available to the designer. Today's trends toward high-density, software-controlled devices must be balanced with allowances for the project construction process. The paper shows a trend in entertainment audio system design to develop task-specific subsystems as a design method.
