In 1993, a new sound system for speech, music, and audio for video applications was installed in the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadium. The main demand was to create different scenes and to save them. Another demand was easy control of the distributed amplifiers. To meet these requirements, a digital audio processing system capable of equalization, delay, level control, distribution, and muting was used. Further, an RS-485-based computer amplifier control system was installed. All audio signals are distributed by two 64-channel fiber-optic transmission systems.
