Practical Networking Strategies for Audio and Control Data

Document Thumbnail

The overall data requirements of post-production are explored. A hybrid approach to networking shows how audio and project data can be generated, shared and archived efficiently within a multi-user system. A common control structure supports and extends a family of compatible digital audio equipment. Each application uses appropriate technologies to enable the system to operate with an inherently higher efficiency while remaining capable of straightforward expansion. As more digital post-production tools begin to share the same principles it will be possible to interchange externally at an increasing pace.
