Equalization and Spatial Equalization of Dummy-Head Recordings for Loudspeaker Reproduction

Document Thumbnail

Real-time spectrum analysis of simultaneous dummy-head and Soundfield recordings has been used to develop a set of equalization curves, which greatly improves the loudspeaker compatibility of dummy-head recordings. Low-frequency left-right boost (shuffling) of about 15dB at 40Hz and overall equalization for a flat frequency response in the total energy of the recording are particularly important.
