With the increasing interest in noncircular pistons for the radiation of sound a method is sought to predict their behavior. The fundamental theory of the mutual interaction of points on the surface of a rectanguloar piston mounted in an infinite baffle is used to solve, by numerical methods, the radiation impedance functions for any aspect ratio of the piston.
