Problems Concerning Implementation of a Digital Remix System on a Standard Console
In complex devices, such as multichannel tape recorders or large mixing consoles, the number of internal connections should be minimized. For this purpose, a serial control bus concept has been developed, using one line each for data, clock and handshake control signals. By means of this bus a CPU controls up to 32 boards. At a data transfer rate of 2 Mbits/s. A transmitter-receiver LSI for this bus is presented.
