Modern Permanent Magnets in Audio Devices

Document Thumbnail

The dynamic moving coil loudspeaker relays on a Lorentz law interaction between magnetic flux and current carrying conductors. Other types of transducers that may use electromagnetism or permanent magnets involve Coulombs' law dealing with forces between magnetically charged bodies. This paper will only be concerned with the Lorentz law interaction.
