Measuring the Quality of Audio Devices

Document Thumbnail

A new measuring method is developed for predicting the subjective quality of audio devices from objective measurements. The method uses natural input signals (speech, music) and maps the input and output of an audio device onto a dynamic loudness pattern measured in Bark, Sone, seconds, making it possible to model the masking properties of the ear in a simple way.
