Listening Tests on Loudspeakers: A Discussion of Experimental Procedures and Evaluation of the Response Data
This paper contains a discussion of experimental procedures in listening tests on loudspeakers and the analysis of the subjective ratings from such tests. The discussion will be based on a review of the literature and on earlier work by the author. The topics will include the choice of test procedure and rating scale, the experimental design, the benefits of conducting pilot experiments and statistical techniques for analysis of the subjective data.
