CD Direct Metal Mastering Technology: A Step Toward a More Efficient Manufacturing Process for Compact Discs

Document Thumbnail

A more efficient method of producing Compact Disc pressing masters and stampers is described. This new technology allows stampers to produce more directly, avoids complicated and sensitive steps during their production, and eliminates the need for a clear-room environment. The necessary initial investments are much lower than those required for the currently used laser mastering method.
