Application of Local Network Concept to Audio Equipment

Document Thumbnail

Remote control system and synchronizer for multi track recorders have been made individually, so that they can offer only a limited expandability and matching among various equipment. This has resulted in a necessity of reviewing the sytem theoretically. This paper describes how we apply the concept of local area network used in computer equipment to unify the whole remote control system. In detail, logic of each individual device will be realized into module in multi tasking operation, and, furthermore, it will be overlapped by network operating system. By this method, logic module will be established in the whole system instead of individual device. Finally, there will be no fixed system, but only a highly flexible, expandable remote system will survive.
