LEDR: A Subjective Approach to Evaluating and Modifying Control Rooms

Acoustic specifications of control rooms can be easily verified through many techniques, but at present there is no adequate model for predicting subjective response from physical measurements. Currently under the development at Northwestern Computer Music (NCM) is a subjective evaluation technique using the Listening Environment Diagnostic Recording (LEDR), enabling the immediate assessment of changes in stereo imagery that result from changes in acoustical treatment.
