Electronic Control of Speaker Directivity, A Practical Application

Document Thumbnail

A wide range sound reinforcement system has been installed at Biola University. This system utilizes a main speaker cluster of 128 drivers with directional characteristics controlled by electronic signal delay circuitry. The design's theoretical basis, implementation, and performance are discussed. Also noted are some of the system's unique operating features that were developed to meet the overall design philosophy.
