Traditional real time acoustic measurements often fail to identify the cause of unsatisfactory control room acoustics or electroacoustic interface. Time delay spectrometry enables the complex time, frequency and energy domains to be extrapolated to individual axes of a 3 dimensional display. Subsequent processing enables display of phase, impulse and group delay in effectively anechoic conditions. Illustration of main acoustic problems will be given.
