An electrostetic transducer fed by voltage rectenguler pulses is used as the acoustical source transmitting acoustic volume velocity to the measured acoustic impedance Zax. The sound pressure pulses p(t) are measured and by a FFT processor their spectrum is obtained. (Repeated due to S/N ratio.) This process is undertaken first on a cylindrical waveguide and then on the unknown Zax. The differnce of both curves - logarithmically displayed - gives the normalized value of Zax. Examples of the results of measurement of acoustic impedance are given.
