Several aspects of mechanical recording are analyzed, based on the author's observations, who, while dealing with the subject, has avoided as much as possible the use of electromechanical resources to control the effects. The collection of topics presented does not cover the whole subject but merely represents one way among several of how to achieve good results in disk recording.
