Digital Connections in a Broadcast Studio Centre

Document Thumbnail

The introduction of digital audio equipment into the broadcast chain is creating digital islands which require an environment capable of supporting the gradual change from analog to digital. The use of the AES/EBU digital interface gives the immediate advantage of a single circuit for stereo, with guaranteed phase integrity and amplitude matching. The performance of this interface in application will be illustrated and the system requirements for synchronization and timing will be discussed.
