New Magnetic System Designs for Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker Applications
A number of nontraditional materials are available for use in loudspeaker motor mechanisms. These materials can result in structures which are geometrically altered from traditional ones and may prove of value in certain applications. This paper will discuss the use of such materials and delve into design considerations. Emphasis will be given to the potential advantages to be derived in the sound reinforcement field in both the fixed and touring segments of the industry. Unusual matters and areas requiring special attention will also be reported upon.
