Most, if not all, present audio power amplifiers use negative feedback with a large amount being typical. If an audio power amplifier is designed that has a relatively good performance without negative feedback, and then a modest amount applied with a single pole response within the overall loop, then a more naturally sounding audio power amplifier can result.
