Real-time spectrum analysis of simultaneous dummy head and soundfield recordings has been used to develop a set of equalization curves which greatly improves the loudspeaker compatibility of dummy head recordings. Low frequency L-R boost (shuffling) of about 10 dB at 40 Hz and overall equalization for a flat frequency response in the total energy of the recording are particularly important.
