Absorption of Sound by Air: A Personal Calculator Program

Document Thumbnail

The proposed personal calculator program is based on ANSI S1.26-1978. "Standard Method for the Calculation of the Absorption of Sound by the Atmosphere." Apart from the absorption for pure tones, the program computes the absorption for octave or one-third-octave bands of white noise, as required in the calculation of reverberation processes and noise propagation.
