Audio Signal Synthesis by Functions of Two Variables

Document Thumbnail

A two-variable function technique for synthesizing dynamic audio spectra is described. The function is calculated, or sampled, along an orbit determined by the time-dependent relationship between the two variables. Restrictions on the function have been developed in order to obtain a wide range of musical sounds.
