Latest Developments in Diamond Stylus Design and Performance
The author brings a short introduction of new stylus developments and CD4-performance which both have not broken through yet, however, they brought new technologies and shapes for high quality stereo diamond stylii. The technology of production including know-how about material, shank design in accordance with anisotropy and grinding technology are described. Theoretical aspects of tip design in accordance with cantilever design lead to short light weight ultra-hard diamond-boron or even full diamond integrated stylus-cantilevers. The new sound of the Paroc- and Trigon- stylus is described together with an explanation where the difference in sound is coming from.
