Engineering an LEDE- Control Room for a Broadcasting Facility
The engineering steps necessary to the successful design of an LEDE control room suitable for a broadcasting facility will be discussed, as well as choosing the desired initial time delay gap, division of the acoustic problem into wave acoustics at the low frequencies and geometric acoustics at the mid and high frequencies, and the dual acoustic shell. The ability to engineer the early sound field and accurately measure it via Time Energy Frequency (TEF) measurements will be illustrated.
