A Microcomputer Program for Transfer Function Analysis: Magnitude, Phase and Delay
This paper describes a computer program written in Basic for use in audio filter design. The program models filters or system functions as products of second order systems. Filters as large as 10th order can be analyzed with this program, which can determine magnitude, phase or group delay as a function of frequency. The program was written for an Apple II computer and employs its high resolution graphics capabilities to plot these magnitude, phase, and delay characteristics. Also included in the program are the means to store and recall the results on the computer disk drive and to print the graphics.
