Suppression of Slew-Rate and Transient Intermodulation Distortions in Audio Power Amplifiers

Document Thumbnail

The dynamic and steady-state intraloop responses of a negative feedback amplifier are examined to identify causes of transient intermodulation and slew-rate distortions. A technique for suppressing them is described which consists of a frequency compensation network in the feedback loop in combination with a single-pole low-pass filter at the input.
