Practical and Aesthetic Microphone Techniques for Recording or Broadcasting Symphonic Music

Document Thumbnail

A microphone technique for symphonic reproduction developed during the past 35 years by the author is discussed. The approach is musical and aesthetic rather than technical, although the background for this thinking lies in a well-rounded technical foundation. The conclusions drawn are based upon thousands of sessions engineered during 20 years at Capitol/Angel/EMI.
