Computer Aided Computation of Reverberation Time
A FORTRAN program (optimized for terminal use) is presented which computes reverberation time of rooms. All absorption coefficients are stored in a file enabling the user to specify only the materials and their dimensions or areas. The remaining area on each room surface may also be assigned a material type eliminating the need to specify areas formed by odd shapes. The program keeps track of the distribution of materials around the room and computes the average absorption for each surface. Reverberation time is then calculated and graphed as a function of frequency.
